The Prediction Machine returns, with a new processor and RAM installed for the 2015 season. Over the previous two years, the Prediction Machine has hit with an 80+% rate. Check out the predicted winners for the upcoming week!
Such a good early season matchup – do I have to make a prediction? Staley returns a veteran cast, while Blue Springs is high on talent, and will be a force to reckon with later this season. It’s early, so why not …
Winner: Staley
The Trojans handled BSS last year en route to a monster year, running the table to the Class 5 semis. Park Hill returns some key playmakers with Matt Harris and Chester Graves leading the way, and know how to win. The Jags also returns key seniors and really would like to get off on strong footing.
Winner: Blue Springs South
The Pirates slowly but surely improve each year. Ray-Pec did vastly with a league title in 2014 and will vie for another crown in 2015. A nice local rivalry matchup…
Winner: Ray-Pec
The Patriots enjoyed their first winning season in years, and return their backfield and other key players. Lee’s Summit obviously will miss the services of Simone Award winner Drew Lock. Should be a good one.
Winner: Truman
At this point in the season, flip a coin. Both look to take a step forward in 2015 and under new coaching regimes. Just going with the home team on this one.
Winner: Park Hill South
Liberty North looks to have some potential for another nice run in the playoffs by season's end. Raytown usually puts up a fight, and at home.
Winner: Liberty North
The Titans laid out Liberty last year in the opener, but West is rebuilding. So are the Jays and hard to not go with a Royce Boehm team.
Winner: Lee’s Summit West
Bill Utz can pick 11 kids out of the crowd and still have a solid team. The Pirates should be more than just “solid” in 2015.
Winner: Platte County
And ditto with Greg Jones at Kearney. 11 kids out of the crowd, and he may go to the state final. If St. Joe Central is to deal Kearney a loss, it’ll be Week One as the Bulldogs will feature a lot of new faces.
Winner: Kearney
The Northmen are slowly, but surely revamping their program – and their field! Tonka still just has too many playmakers right now.
Winner: Winnetonka
This will be a dy-no-mite matchup of two of the Metro’s top quarterbacks in Jabril Cox and Skylar Thompson. Just so hard to win at the Fort.
Winner: Fort Osage
Hard to not pick the Hawklets, as The Rock needs to open with a win with a trip to Webb City ahead.
Winner: Rockhurst
Sure, Oak Grove lost a ton of key players and stars from last year's Class 3 state championship team. But the cupboard's not bare and a win to start off the year would go a long way.
Winner: Oak Grove
The Wildcats have too much in this game, even if on the road.
Winner: Harrisonville
Well, isn’t this ironic. Greg Smith jettisons Smithville and in his first game at Pleasant Hill, the opening opponent is … you guessed it. So which wins out – coach knowing personnel or players ready to show the former coach a thing or two?
Winner: Smithville
