The William Jewell Classic tips next week, and the Nelson Division will certainly be a fun one.
The No. 1 seed - Lee's Summit West - is arguably the top team in the city at No. 2 in the 810 Varsity Top 25. The Titans won a loaded tourney in Fayetteville (Ark.) earlier in the month and should make a run for the Nelson title.
Park Hill South certainly has the guard play to make a run, and have sustained its two losses to teams ranked in the top 6 of the 810 Varsity Top 25 (Liberty, Park Hill).
Blue Springs has the guard play to make a run for the title game, while No. 15 Rockhurst has played a solid early schedule as well.
Best potential semifinal: No. 10 Park Hill South vs No. 25 Blue Springs, with the guard play of Lamel Robinson, Desi Williams and Jacob Kline vs Tyree King and RJ Lawrence.
Sleeper: Oak Park, with Ochai Agbaji a problem for any team at 21.7 ppg.
Predicted final: Lee's Summit West over Park Hill South
