The Best of the Midwest Showcase, Session II has been postponed for this Saturday, January 14 due to anticipated winter and ice storm conditions. At least one makeup event has been scheduled ahead.

The decision was made final on Thursday evening after an ice storm warning was issued for Kansas City by the National Weather Service and after consulting with schools and even a few cancelling school for Friday and subsequent activities.

The Best of the Midwest Showcase will have at least one makeup event on Saturday, February 11, and is looking into the likelihood of a second makeup event on Saturdays of February 4, or February 18. Locations will be announced next week, while matchups are being determined as well.

"With the weekend ahead and many cancellations for previous games and events - and also upcoming cancellations with this three-day weekend's events - 810 Varsity looks to help make up those games with quality matchups ahead," said 810 Varsity's Chad Rader. "Schools that have cancellations to date are welcome to contact for a possible game, in addition to the current schools which have been in contact."

The eight-game event this weekend was to be held at Johnson County Community College on Saturday.
