Rockhurst has reached agreement with another Kansas power for a two-year football series – Blue Valley.
The two powers will clash, tentatively scheduled for September 21, 2018, with location also to be determined. The meeting will be the first between the two storied programs.
“It’s great that two historic programs from each side of the state line get to face,” said Blue Valley head football coach Allen Terrell. “It’s exciting for both schools and should be a great series.”
Blue Valley has won four Kansas state football titles since 2000, along with consecutive Kansas Class 6A championship appearances in the last two years.
Rockhurst finished Class 6 runner-up in 2014 and four Missouri state titles since 2000. Both the Tigers and Hawklets look to be ranked in 810 Varsity's Top 10, released next week.
Rockhurst also recently finalized a two-year agreement with Bishop Miege, as released on 810Varsity.com on Monday.
