810 Varsity has named its 810 Varsity 2019 Elite 81 award winners, revealed throughout the holiday break.

810 VARSITY MO BIG CLASS DEFENSIVE LINEMAN

Johnny Wilson, Park Hill
Wilson was a senior leader on a tough Park Hill defense, notching 97 tackles - 28 for loss - with 13 sacks and 18 hurries. Wilson was named the Suburban Gold Defensive Player of the Year and has committed to Iowa State.

810 VARSITY MO SMALL CLASS DEFENSIVE LINEMAN

Garret Watson, Platte County

Watson emerged as a senior with 72 tackles - 17 for loss - with 16 sacks and 15 hurries. Watson was named the Suburban Blue's co-Defensive Player of the Year.

810 VARSITY KS BIG CLASS DEFENSIVE LINEMAN

Ethan Kremer, Mill Valley

Kremer was an anchor on the Kansas Class 5A state title team on the line. The 6-0, 235-pound junior tallied 54 tackles - 16.5 for loss - with 9.5 sacks and 11 hurries. Kremer was named first-team all-Eastern Kansas League.

810 VARSITY KS SMALL CLASS DEFENSIVE LINEMAN

Clayton Essex, Paola

Essex helped Paola to a Frontier League title as a force on both sides of the line. The Panthers went 11-0 before losing to Miege in the Class 4A semifinals. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound Essex has been a two-time Frontier League first-team selection.
