Gerry Marlin, North Kansas City

Marlin hurdled over the 600-win mark in his career this past season, with stops in Florida and long-time success at Ruskin, including the 2007 Missouri Class 4 state title. In his five years at North Kansas City, the Hornets have notched two 20-win campaigns and a district title.

Mike McBride, Basehor-Linwood

McBride has turned Basehor-Linwood into a perennial state power, regardless of the class level. With a 274-90 career mark at BLHS through 2020 (375 career wins), the Bobcats won Kansas Class 4A state titles in 2009 and 2012, along with an undefeated run halted in the state title game in 2015. BLHS moved up to Class 5A last year, which was no problem with a state title game appearance and likely a title in 2020.

2010-20
208-44 record, State tourneys – 5; State title games – 3 (2012, 2015, 2019); State titles – 1 (2012)

Brett McFall, Shawnee Mission South

McFall got the Raiders going again on his return in 2010, taking SM South to the Kansas Class 6A tourney in his first year. Three years later, the Raiders dropped to 5A and ran the table (25-0) to win the 5A title.

2010-20
157-87 record, State tourneys – 3; State titles – Kansas Class 5A (2013)
