FEMALE PERFORMANCE OF THE WEEK - 10/21/2020

Callie Flanagan, Blue Valley North

Flanagan finished a perfect season in style by winning the Kansas Class 6A state championship with a 6-3, 6-1 win in the semifinals, then a 6-0 6-4 victory to take the 2020 state singles title and conclude with an immaculate 23-0 record.

Flanagan finished second in 2019, and also won the 2018 and 2017 doubles titles.  Flanagan was named an All-American in 2020 and likely again in 2021 by the National High School Tennis All-American Foundation. The senior will be playing tennis at the University of Cincinnati next year.

MALE PERFORMANCE OF THE WEEK - 10/21/2020

Jace Reynolds, Harrisonville

Reynolds put up a season's worth of stats - in just one game. The 5-foot-8, 175-pound junior racked up 395 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns in a 75-41 win vs Winnetonka last Friday.  In just eight games, Reynolds has eclipsed the 2,000-yard mark, which he did as a sophomore as well.

Reynolds already holds 5 of the top 6 single-game marks at Harrisonville, including a 416-yard performance vs Pleasant Hill earlier this year. He currently leads the Metro in rushing yards, yards per game and touchdowns (26).
