JaRon Rush won the DiRenna Award three times (1996, 1997, 1998) - the only player to do so - for the top high school player in Kansas City. JaRon went on to play at UCLA.
JaRon was followed up by Kareem as the DiRenna winner in 1999. Kareem played with Mizzou and then was an NBA first-round pick in logging time in seven NBA seasons (2002-2010).
Brandon followed the duo and won a national championship at Kansas (2008), and was the No. 13 overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft. Brandon played nine seasons in the NBA, including for the 2015 World Champion Golden State Warriors
