Vote for the greatest player in Kansas City the last 10 years (2011-20), as listed and seeded by 810 Varsity.

Criteria was based on:
- All-State and regional, national accolades
- State final and tourney success
- Collegiate and professional success

Four 16-player regions make up the bracket. Cast your vote - rounds are now one day each.

Peeler Region

Anthony Peeler – Missouri LegendsAnthony Peeler was named to the McDonald's All-American team as a senior at Paseo, and one of the top recruits in the country after winning the DiRenna Award. Peeler then starred at Mizzou and was named the Big Eight Player of the Year in 1992. Peeler was the No. 15 overall pick in the 1992 NBA Draft by the Lakers, and played from 1992-2005 in the league.

Landry Shamet, Park Hill

- DiRenna Award finalist (2014)
- 2x Missouri Class 5 all-state selection
- Wooden List as sophomore at Wichita State
- No. 26 overall pick in 2018 NBA Draft
- Played with 76ers, Clippers, Nets from 2018-present

Zach Schneider, Shawnee Mission East

- DiRenna Award finalist (2013)
- Helped Lancers to school record 21 wins and 4th place finish with 15 ppg and 8 rebounds
- 2014 MIAA Freshman of year at Northwest Missouri State
- Finished career as MIAA career three-point leader in made and attempts

Tyrone Taylor II, Grandview

- 2x all-state selection in Class 4
- DiRenna Award finalist (2014)
- Broke Alec Burks career scoring record at GHS, including 21 ppg his senior season. Taylor played collegiately at UNC Wilmington.

Ryan Welty, Park Hill South

- Helped lead Panthers to 2015 Class 5 state title game, defeating Jayson Tatum and Chaminade in the semis
- Averaged with 18 ppg and 9 rebounds as senior
- 2x Missouri Class 5 all-state selection
- Played at Northwest Missouri State, NCAA leading 3-point percentage leader during his stint

Shavon Shields, Olathe Northwest

- DiRenna finalist (2012)
- First-team Class 6A selection averaging 21 ppg, 8.5 rebounds, 3 assists
- Finished 5th on Nebraska Huskers all-time scoring list

His father is a football Hall-of-Famer, but Shavon Shields calling is  basketball | Olimpia Milano

Ben Richardson, BV Northwest

- Played in 4 straight Kansas Class 6A state title games, inclduing back-to-back titles in 2013, 2014
- 2x first-team all-state selection
- Huskies went 96-4 during four seasons 
- Teamed with Clayton Custer at BV Northwest, then in Loyola's Final Four run in 2018.

Amaad Wainright, Hogan Prep

- Averaged 22 ppg, 7 rebounds, 4 assists as junior at Hogan Prep (2013)
- Helped lead Rams to Missouri Class 3 state title game (2012)

- Helped lead Hawklets to Missouri Class 5 state title averaging 18.3 ppg and 10.4 rebounds

- Teamed with brother Marcus to bring home the 2016 Kansas Class 6A state title
- Played at Oklahoma State and Texas Southern

Siler Schneider, Lansing

- DiRenna Award finalist (2014)
- Kansas Class 5A Player of the Year
- Helped lead Lansing to state title game (2013) and state championship (2014) at 25-0, still the last undefeated team in Metro 
- Helped lead UC Davis to NCAA Tournanment and No. 2 in career D-I scoring at the school

- DiRenna Award winner (2014)
- Helped lead BV Northwest to four straight Class 6A title games, and consecutive Class 6A state titles (2013, 2014)
- 3x Class 6A first-team all-state selection
- Helped lead Loyola to Final Four in 2018
- Names Academic All-American (2018)
