810 Varsity and Children's Mercy Sports Medicine Center have partnered for a weekly Children’s Mercy Sports Medicine Center Metro Area High School Male and Female Student-Athlete Performance of the Week award!
Nominations are due each week, by Monday at noon, and can be submitted online at https://www.childrensmercy.org/performanceoftheweek
810 Varsity also will post weekly reminders on Twitter and at 810Varsity.com as well.
On Monday afternoon, the selection committee will review the nominations and choose a weekly Male and Female winner. Then Tuesday, the winners will be announced on both the 810 Varsity and the Children’s Mercy Sports Medicine Center social media channels, as well as 810Varsity.com .
At the end of the year, a Male and Female Student-Athlete of the Year will be selected, and each winner will be invited to be recognized on the field prior to a Sporting KC match at Children’s Mercy Park.

Aidan Shaw, Blue Valley
Shaw continues to be one of the Metro's top stars, averaging 20.2 ppg, 7.3 rebounds and a Metro-leading 5.0 blocks per game. Against Blue Valley Northwest this week, the 6-foot-7 junior almost notched a tripled-double with 24 points, 10 blocks and nin boards.
Shaw is ranked #50 overall in the nation in the 2022 class by Rivals, and holds offers from Kansas, Iowa State, Creighton and many others nationally. Shaw plays for MoKan on the EYBL circuit during the spring and summer.
Chorus Davis, Lincoln Prep
Davis helped propel the Blue Tigers to a 47-45 win over Piper at 810 Varsity Showcase 22 on Saturday with 21 points. The senior has notched over 1,000 points in her career, being named as the Interscholastic Player of the Year, leading the league with 15.1 ppg, 6.4 rebounds and 2.8 st4eals.
Davis was named Class 4 All-State as a junior, and will play for Missouri S&T next year.
