For the first time in three years, Missouri is back in the win column in GKCFA All-Star Game.

Missouri topped Kansas, 20-12, in the annual event, held this year at North Kansas City High School.

Kansas looked to emerge with yet another win late in the third, up 12-6 after Olathe South's Adam Young toed a 24-yard field goal.

But Staley's Rajon Hill turned on the jets to return the ensuing kickoff to the Kansas 8. Seconds later, Grain Valley's Cole Keller connected with Park Hill South's Eric Avery from eight yards out for a 13-12 lead. Keller was named the MVP for his effort.

Missouri held, then put itself arm's distance away after a 17-yard touchdown scamper on the left side by Center's Nosa Ohamanu to go up 20-12 with 7:16 left. Kansas drove inside the 25 but couldn't convert, as Missouri held on for the win.

The first half scoring wasn't via offense, but via returns, as Staley's David Lewis put Missouri on the board with a fumble return for a TD and a 6-0 lead. But in the second quarter, a safety and Lansing Malik Benson 75-yard return on the ensuing kickoff built a 9-6 lead, which Kansas held at halftime.
