810 Varsity selected its all-showcase girls team for 810 Varsity Showcase 24, held Saturday, December 18 at Shawnee Mission Northwest.

Jadyn Wooten, Blue Valley

The sophomore point guard started, slow, but then eventually dominated the game by controlling the tempo, penetrating the McPherson defense and scoring a game-high 24 points in Blue Valley’s 60-45 win over McPherson.

Riley Bruggeman, St. James Academy

The 5-8 junior helped the Thunder fend off Park Hill South in a tightly contested second half with a game-high 17 points, including a bucket from behind the arc.

Sophie Deveney, Blue Valley

The Tigers trailed by scores of 14-4 and 22-14 before halftime, but Deveney and Blue Valley got hot to take a 25-22 halftime lead and make it an 18-0 run into the second half behind outside shooting. Deveney drained five three-pointers in the contest to help take the lead, and bust the game open.

Kodi Greer, Basehor-Linwood

Many Bobcats contributed to their 52-19 blowout of Barstow, but the 5-foot-5 sophomore led all scorers with 11 points with two three-pointers along the way.

Ella Mackiewicz, Shawnee Mission Northwest

The 5-11 senior helped boost the Cougars to a blowout win over St. Teresa’s, netting 19 points, canning nine buckets – including a three – in the win.

Regan Williams, Park Hill South

The 6-foot-2 sophomore scored a team-high 16 points and helped the Panthers inside as well, as the Park Hill South quest to stay undefeated fell short after a furious rally in the second half.
