810 Varsity selected its all-showcase girls team for 810 Varsity Showcase 27, held Saturday, February 5 at Lee's Summit West.

Israel Randle - Lincoln Prep
Randle’s defensive pressure and offensive versatility led a depleted Lincoln Prep team to a big win over Barstow. He finished with 15 points, leading all scorers.

Alex Benassi - Lee’s Summit
Beating the top team in Kansas is no mere feat, and Benassi at times seemed to make it look easy. He played well, defending Mozae Downing, who scored just 13 points, as well as scoring a game-high 21 points himself, as well as adding 7 rebounds. The Tigers pulled off a big 60-48 win, largely due to Benassi’s effort.

Kernan Bundy - Blue Valley North
Despite struggling recently as a team, Bundy played well against Raytown South, scoring a team high 17 points on 7-9 shooting. It’s hard to argue that without Bundy, the Cardinals could have completed a late game comeback.

Brycen LaRue - Lee’s Summit
With Benassi handling a finger injury, LaRue and teammate Caden McGuire carried the scoring and defensive load. LaRue finished 6-6, scoring 12 points and working to put away undefeated Free State

Tyrese Cannon - Raytown South
Cannon scored a game-high 17 points in a 57-53 loss to Blue Valley North, and that's with a couple of athletic drives lipping around and out, and a high-flying dunk attempt from 10-feet out that almost brough the house down.

Caden McGuire - Lee’s Summit
McGuire, along with LaRue put the Firebirds away, converting two shots from a few feet behind the NBA line, with just over 6 minutes to play. Those two shots began the run that put the Tigers ahead for good. McGuire finished with 10 points and also took on the duties of guarding Jordan Brown for most of the night.

Mozae Downing - Free State
Downing’s leadership and general IQ is what made the Firebirds seem never out of the game until deep in the fourth. Despite finishing with just 13 points, and not shooting particularly well, his gravity allowed for Cooper Jackson to heat up, and the Firebirds could still rely on him down the stretch.
