The annual 810 Varsity preseason volleyball Top 25 is out! Check out the rankings, capsules, pics and more!

6. Blue Valley West


Jaguars return a young cast, but formidable as shown in beating Lee's Summit West to start the season. Sophs in setter Lily Wedman, middle blocker Allison Heck and outside hitter Ella Davidson lead the next wave of Jags.

7. Lee's Summit West

Titans stumbled at the Slam, but senior setter Zoe Barnes, junior Ava Anderson and soph Addison Lindemann will get things going.

8. Bishop Miege

Stags will be on the right track with Lindsey Zych returning to the alma mater after leading Lansing to the Class 5A state crown a year ago. Senior Ali Olson and soph hitter Lauren Lopez star up front, while juniors in setter Ava Martin and libero Gabby Anderson also shines.

9. Free State

Firebirds have three straight state berths, and went toe-to-toe with Blue Valley North to open the season. Middle blocker Sawyer Thomsen, Aubrey Duncan and setter Rylee Unruh return as seniors, while junior outside hitter Fiona Van Dyke has upside.

10. Blue Valley

The Tigers will look to make noise in the rugged EKL and Class 6A, with one of the best 2024 liberos in Ryan McAleer already committed to Purdue. Senior Avery DeLong returns  at hitter, and is committed to Pittsburg State. Seniors in hitter Julie Kinney, setter Kate Peterson, hitter Connelly Kilgore and middle blocker Tiana Simmons also round out a strong lineup.
