The 810 Varsity Showcase went from an idea in 2014 to now reaching No. 30 in the line of events in 2022-23.

Three more events in the long-time basketball events series are set for the upcoming season, and with some big programs and names as usual.

Omaha Biliew, a five-star commit to Iowa State, will likely be the third McDonald's All-American to play in the 810 Varsity Showcases, joining Michael Porter Jr and Caleb Love. Biliew and Waukee (IA) will play Blue Valley Northwest in the nightcap of 810 Varsity Showcase 29, at Blue Valley Northwest.

The three stops will be at Shawnee Mission Northwest, Blue Valley Northwest and Lee's Summit West.

"It's exciting to have great lineups again with some of the top teams in the area," 810 Varsity's Chad Rader said. 

The events cut down to three this year for various reasons, but Rader looks for four again next year. Or this year...

"We've had a few years of a pop-up event with weather cancellations, so you never know..." Rader said.
