For the third time in the 810 Varsity Showcase series, a McDonald's All-American will be coming to Kansas City.

Omaha Biliew, a 6-foot-8 power forward ranked No. 9 overall by ESPN and No. 15 overall in the 2023 class by both Rivals and 247, will be leading Waukee (IA) against area powerhouse Blue Valley Northwest at 810 Varsity Showcase 29, this Saturday, January 7.

Biliew, who helped MoKan Elite to the Peach Jam title this past summer, committed to Iowa State this fall over Oregon, Kansas and the NBA G League. While the McDonald's All-American teams aren't selected until March, Biliew likely will be a shoe-in for the event.

The 810 Varsity Showcase, which started in 2015 at Municipal Auditorium, has featured numerous stars, including McDonald’s All-Americans Michael Porter Jr (2016) and Caleb Love (2020).

The 29th rendition of the event will feature more than Biliew, with six teams ranked in the 810 Varsity Top 25, and the top two teams in the girls Top 25.

St. Thomas Aquinas (5-0), No. 2 in the 810 Varsity girls Top 25, will face Lincoln Prep in the opener at 11 am. Piper (4-1) will face Blue Valley Southwest (3-2) at 12:30 pm, followed by No. 15 St. James Academy (4-1) vs Barstow.

The Blue Valley North girls (6-0), ranked No. 1 in the girls Top 25, take on Blue Springs at 3:30 pm. Then host Blue Valley Northwest, No. 6 in the boys Top 25, will face Waukee, No. 3 in Iowa’s largest Class 4A at 5 pm.

The final two games feature a battle of Top 25 opponents: No. 16 Olathe South (3-1) vs No. 23 Blue Valley West (3-2) at 6:30 pm, and No. 3 Blue Valley North (5-0) taking on No. 24 Center (6-2).
