Blue Valley Southwest made their debut in the 810 Varsity events a winning one.
The Timberwolves held off Piper for a 61-58 win on Saturday in Game Two of 810 Varsity Showcase 29. After a 26-20 halftime deficit, Piper fought back to tie the game various times in the third quarter.
But the Timberwolves got going in the fourth with Jackson Noland getting hot with three three-pointers in the final period. Noland scored 16, while Quillen Rank led all scores with 18. Blue Valley Southwest improved to 5-2, winning its fifth straight game.
Piper (5-2) was led by Kai Reid's 16 points, and PJ Moore's 14.
