After two months of club / grassroots action, the area basketball world turns to high school team events. And none better than the 810 Varsity events this weekend and next.

810 Varsity's Summer Slam returns to Staley High School with another strong lineup, including Missouri Class 6 defending champs Staley, Kansas defending champions Blue Valley Northwest, and top teams for 2023-24 including Oak Park, Lee's Summit West and others. Teams such as Bentonville also will be rolling into Kansas City for the event.

"It's a great event that we can stay at home in Kansas City but play teams that will help us improve," stated Staley head coach Chris Neff. "We're excited to host the event again."
