Just 11 seconds. But those 11 ticks halted Lee’s Summit North undefeated season and quest to return to the Missouri Class 6 title game.

Platte County 35, Webb City 0

Platte County continued its undefeated season and with a win over a recent postseason rival on Friday night.

The Pirates (12-0) routed Webb City, 35-0, in Webb City to advance to the Missouri Class 5 semifinals. Junior quarterback Rocco Marriott accounted for three touchdowns, while junior running back Adam Gisler ran for two scores in the laugher.

Marriott started the scoring parade with a 19-yard touchdown run for a 7-0 lead with 5:30 left in the first period. Another keeper for a 3-yard score pushed the lead to 14-0 with 8:59 in the first half.
