Rogers resigns after violations; Washington remains interim

Lee's Summit North announced on Wednesday afternoon that head football coach Jason Rogers announced his resignation. Rogers incurred violations for conducting workouts with players during non-contact periods cited by MSHSAA.

Rogers originally was suspended for the first three games of the season earlier in August before the first game of the year, with Deron Washington taking the helm.

The announcement to families came officially on Thursday in an email from Lee's Summit North principal Tim Collins.
