Park Hill coach missed NKC game after meeting, email from principal

Park Hill played last Friday without its head coach Andy Sims due to "personnel reasons".

Park Hill principal Brad Kincheloe cited the reason in an email released on Friday afternoon prior to the Trojans' home opener against North Kansas City. Park Hill lost, 69-51.

Former long-time head coach Greg Reynolds has been serving as interim. John Crutcher, who served as head coach of Winneonka from 2022-24, also is on staff as assistant.

Sims started coaching at Park Hill in 2021, with the Trojans gong 22-24 in his tenure. Sims formerly served as head coach at Blue Valley North from 2015-20,  highlighted by a Kansas Class 6A state title and two other title game appearances.

Per reports, Sims was last at Park Hill during school hours on Friday, September 5 at 3 pm. Shortly after, principal Kincheloe spoke to the football team, and the email below was sent afterwards.
