Ray South's second half leads to 28-14 win

A game of momentum between winless teams went back and forth until Raytown South senior quarterback Jabril Cox took the game over in the second half.

Park Hill South scored first on a pick-6 35-yard touchdown return by Dillon Thomas in the second quarter, then followed up by a  Zach Suchanick touchdown pass for 15 yards to Jake Springer for a 14-0 halftime lead.
 
"We needed to build some confidence," Ray South head coach Nick Adkins said of his Cardinals and in the second half. 
 
That confidence was provided by senior star quarterback Jabril Cox, who scored four unanswered touchdowns on the ground  of 15, 16 and 6 yards, and then a 70-yard run to paydirt in the 4th quarter.
 
Cox finished the game with 10-of-14 passing for 103 yards 136 rushing yards on 13 carries with four scores on the ground.
 
Ray South improves to 1-2 and PH South falls to 0-3.
