The third year of the Best of the Midwest Showcase series continues, as the second of four events tips on January 6, 2018 at St. Thomas Aquinas with the Best of the Midwest Showcase, Session I

The event will be heavy with Eastern Kansas League talent,  but also many of the city's top talents such as Jalen Lewis of Liberty and Lamel Robinson of Park Hill South.

Among the great matchups will be the 5:30 pm clash of Blue Valley Northwest and Park Hill South, each already projected to be in the top 5 of the 810 Varsity metro rankings.

The 7 pm girls game features two of the best programs in the city, Liberty and St. Thomas Aquinas.

The 8:30 pm nightcap will feature two teams which each made the state tourney in 2017, St. Thomas Aquinas vs Hayden. Hayden features Kansas recruit Zach Harvey, ranked No. 38 nationally by Rivals for the 2019 class.

"It's yet another loaded lineup and a KU recruit and national talent for everyone to watch," said 810 Varsity's Chad Rader.
