FIRST, SECOND teamerS NAMED

The 810 Varsity Preseason Teams have been selected for the upcoming basketball season!

And of course, if someone was missed, feel free to submit anyone overlooked!

810 Varsity FIRST TEAM

Ochai Agbaji, Oak Park

Guard, 6-foot-4
Agbaji is a scoring machine, netting 20 points or more 19 times in 2016-17, and 30 five times, incuding a 40-point game vs Staley. Agbaji helped lead the Northmen to a 19-8 record while averaging a whopping 23.1 ppg with nearly six rebounds per contest. The senior has multiple Division I offers, including Air Force and UMKC.

Yor Anei, Lee's Summit West

Center, 6-foot-11
Anei transfers to West and will team with a loaded lineup including fellow first-teamer Christian Bishop. Anei committed to Oklahoma State this past fall over other options such as Arkansas and Oregon State. Anei, Bishop, Mario Goodrich and the Titans look to match or top last year's 26-3 mark.

Ronnie Bell, Park Hill

Guard, 6-foot-1
Kansas City learned of Bell's explosiveness this past fall, as he ran through or past opposing defenses on the gridiron and finished in the Missouri all-time top 10 in a single season in receiving yards and touchdowns. But its on the hardwood that Bell is committed to Missouri State, and for good reason after averaging 14 ppg as a junior, and expect to lead the Trojans again.

Christian Bishop, Lee's Summit West

Forward, 6-foot-8
As a junior, Bishop averaged 12.6 ppg, 7.1 rebounds and 1.4 blocks as a junior, shooting over 58% from the field. Bishop and the Titans look to make another run in Class 5 after reaching the state final a year ago. Ranked 103rd nationally by Rivals, Bishop has committed to Creighton after offers from Mizzou, K-State, Oklahoma State and Wichita State among others.

Parker Braun, Blue Valley Northwest

Forward, 6-foot-8
Braun can dominate a game with his inside presence, especially defensively as evidenced when he seemingly blocked every other shot and grabbed every other rebound in a season-turning double overtime win last year vs Chaminade in the 810 Varsity Showcase II. Braun will team with borther Christian for the Huskies, who look to defend their 6A championship.

Damien Daniels, Hogan Prep

Guard, 5-foot-8
Daniels certainly isn't the tallest player on the court, but will put up big numbers with his 23.0 scoring average a year ago in helping the Rams to the Class 3 title game. Daniels committed to Abilene Christian earlier this fall.

Cooper Kaifes, Mill Valley

Guard, 6-foot-3
Kaifes remains one of the centerpieces from the Class 5A state title team in 2016, and committed to Loyola Chicago in mid-October. Kaifes can light it up from the outside and is one of, if not the top outside shooter in the city.

Jordan Lathon, Grandview

Guard, 6-foot-4
Lathon led Grandview to a 24-5 record and the Class 4 quarterfinals while averaging 16.5 ppg, 6.6 rebounds, 4 assists and 2.3 steals. Lathon committed to Northwestern before transferring to nationally ranked IMG Academy in Florida in the summer. However, Lathon returned back this fall and looks to lead the Bulldogs even further.
Lathon is ranked 119th overall in the 2018 class by Rivals.

Jalen Lewis, Liberty

Photo: Darryl Woods, 810 Varsity

Guard, 5-foot-10
Lewis helped the Jays to a 20-9 record and a run to the Class 5 quarerfinals. Lewis can fill it up, as evidenced by his 37 points vs Lawrence in the 810 Varsity Showcase II last year, and will finish his career as LHS all-time leading scorer, and the 810 Varsity Showcase career points leader. Lewis will play at Washburn University ahead.

Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, Bishop Miege

Photo: Darryl Woods, 810 Varsity

Forward, 6-foot-9
Not much needs to be said to tout JRE, with offers from Kansas, UCL, Notre Dame, Mizzou, Oklahoma and many others. The 6-foot-9 junior averaged 14 points and 8.5 rebounds for the Stags.
Robinson is ranked in the top 20 nationally at No. 16 by Rivals and 19 by 247 Sports for the class of 2019.

Lamel Robinson, Park Hill South

Guard, 5-foot-10
While just at 5-foot-10, Robinson usually is the biggest presence on the court with his jumper, or ability to get to the hole. K-State already has offered the junior, with other area Big 12 schools such as Oklahoma and Oklahoma State of interest.
