Elam caught one of the highlights of the year for Kansas City with the touchdown catch to pull Staley within 1, then eventually win the Class 5 state championship. All season long, Elam was one of the top targets for the Falcons with 868 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns.
Elam earned first-team all-state for Class 5 at tight end.

Marquez did it all for the Wildcats - 434 receiving yards and 5 receiving scores by air, or on the ground with eight touchdowns, or even with a passing touchdown. Marquez earned first-team all-state in Class 6.

Jackson Heath, Blue Valley Northwest
Heath racked up 880 yards and six touchdowns while being the main target for the Huskies in the tough Eastern Kansas League, earning first-team EKL honors. Heath also earned first-team all-state in Class 6A at end.

Freberg was steady all year, in compiling 1,177 and 11 touchdowns for the Class 6A state champion Mustangs. No bigger game came than in the state final with 9 receptions and 222 receiving yards in BV North's 49-42 win over Derby. Freberg earned first-team all-state in Class 6A at end.
