Lansing filled two head coaching positions on Monday night, in boys basketball and football.

The school board approved the hiring of Jason Jones for the open boys basketball head coaching position, and Dylan Brown for football.

Jones comes to Lansing after a four-year stint at Highland Park. Jones finished with a career mark of 46-42 with the Scots, including a 17-8 mark and fourth place finish in Kansas Class 5A in 2015-16. 

Lansing is Jones eighth stint as a head coach, with previous stops in Kansas at Highland Park, Wetmore, Humboldt and Ulysses and out-of-state positions in Colorado, Florida and Georgia.

Dylan Brown served as Lansing's offensive coordinator the past four seasons under John McCall, as well as teaching social studies. Prior to his tenure at Lansing, Brown had served as an offensive coordinator under Jeff Gourley at Olathe South.
