Well, maybe not. But 810 Varsity's Prediction Machine has still hit over 80% of games the last four years, and nearly 85% in 2017!

So read who's going to win this weekend - today!

William Chrisman at Blue Springs

The new year always bring high hopes, including a big upset in Week One. But the Wildcats remain a veteran team and won’t overlook the Bears in the opener.

Winner: Blue Springs

Liberty North at Lee’s Summit North

After the first winning season in over a decade, the Broncos return a strong, speedy cast and have their sights set high. However, LS North also goes from the hunter to the hunted. But Broncos escape with the W.

Winner: Lee’s Summit North

Blue Springs South at Raytown

Joe Campbell and the Jays will present problems for the Jags. But BSS looks to make a statement out of the gates, and a healthy squad takes care of business.

Winner: Blue Springs South

Park Hill at Lee’s Summit West

Man, this is a toughie. An experienced defense against the Titans veteran offense led by Ben Kobel at QB. Will go with the home team.

Winner: Lee’s Summit West

Lee’s Summit at Liberty

Another coin flip. Liberty lost a lot from last year but still talented. Lee’s Summit has young cast, along with a veteran offensive line.

Winner: Lee’s Summit

Raymore-Peculiar at Park Hill South

Panthers to win... wait, which one?

Winner: Park Hill South

St. Joe Central at Smithville

The Warriors debut in the Suburban League out of the gates, and do so with a W.

Winner: Smithville

Staley at Truman

The Falcons start their Class 5 state title defense on the road. Staley should soar.

Winner: Staley

Raytown South at Fort Osage

The Sports Radio 810 Game of the Week pits the Cardinals on the road against a veteran Fort Osage team opening a new stadium.

Winner: Fort Osage

Grandview at North Kansas City

The Hornets are looking for a breakout year, and this is the season if there is one with Adetomiwa Adebawore and Clyde Price.

Winner: North Kansas City

Platte County at Oak Park

As usual, the Pirates will reload up their offense again in 2018 with Spencer Stewart taking over at quarterback and others stepping up.

Winner: Platte County

Ruskin at Belton

The Pirates look to build upon three straight 7+ win seasons, and can do it with a win out of the gates.

Winner: Belton

Kearney at Harrisonville

What a battle of Class 4 powers, on opening weekend! Harrisonville is enduring a rebuild, and KHS has just enough returning in QB Dakota Ah-mu and RB Patrick Connery for a gritty win.

Winner: Kearney

Rock Bridge at Rockhurst

Hawklets look to avenge last year’s 17-14 loss in the opener – and should at home.

Winner: Rockhurst

Odessa at St. Pius X

The Bulldogs return a lot of playmakers from last year's team, and should come out on top.

Winner: Odessa

Center at Central

Yellowjackets come out with a buzz.

Southeast at Excelsior Springs

Tigers with the W on opening night.
