810 Varsity predicts Kansas City area districts, including the final!

Missouri Class 3, District 7
Odessa has been rolling along in an undefeated season, but a major landmine sits at the No. 5 seed in Pleasant Hill. The Roosters just hung with Odessa in a 10-point loss two weeks ago, and beat Excelsior Springs last week.
Prediction: Odessa over Hogan Prep

Missouri Class 3, District 8
The district is all Maryville. Love to pick out a challenger, but the No. 2 seed Savannah was just romped at Maryville, 41-7, two weeks ago.
Prediction: Maryville over Savannah

Missouri Class 4, District 7
This could be a mad scramble with a few teams with nice records, but weaker strength of schedule. The top half of Warrensburg vs the winner of Grain Valley vs Grandview will quite a clash, with the winner emerging for the district crown. GV's experience in the Suburban League pays dividends in the end.
Prediction: Grain Valley over Harrisonville

Missouri Class 4, District 8
Five teams stood at 7-1 a week ago in this district field - insane! Almost too tough to pick as Platte County beat Smithville, who beat Kearney, who beat Platte County... Meanwhile Excelsior Springs and Lafayette aren't chopped liver either. Liking PC's explosiveness and Smithville's versaility. But can Smithville beat Kearney 2 of 3 weeks?
Prediction: Platte County over Smithville

Missouri Class 5, District 7
Belton and William Chrisman should progress into the semis, but Raytown and Fort Osage likely are too much. Fort playing much better and has the experience, but Raytown is playing well too.
Prediction: Raytown over Fort Osage

Missouri Class 5, District 8
The North Kansas City school district showdown should be set in three weeks, with Staley and NKC moving to the final. It's tough to go against the defending Class 5 champs at home, who haven't lost a home game for years. Hornets playing at full strength right now, but Staley defense proves to be too tough.
Prediction: Staley over Hornets

Missouri Class 6, District 2
Blue Springs has been up and down, but playing toe-to-toe with Lee's Summit West and beating Park Hill by two scores in the final weeks shows the Wildcats can rise to the occasion. And its hard to go against Blue Springs in the playoffs.
Winner: Blue Springs over Rock Bridge

Missouri Class 6, District 4
This district and Class 4, District 8 are the most competitive around. Could be played 5 times with 5 different winners, and an upset could happen in any round. No. 1 Lee's Summit gets a matchup of a 4 vs 5 winner - each who beat the Broncos earlier in the year. With Christian Carter's status uncertain for LS North, could be a tough draw in the semis.
Meanwhile, Lee's Summit and Liberty North playing well late in the year. And a rematch of Rockhurst vs LS West in the semis like last year could loom.
Winner: Rockhurst over Liberty
