Check out Friday's playoff winners, now!

The Prediction Machine has been upgraded with more RAM, processors and updated databases to run the numbers again - simulating each game at least 1,000 times!

Well, maybe not. But 810 Varsity's Prediction Machine has still hit over 80% of games the last four years, and nearly 85% in 2017 and over 80% in 2018!

So read who's going to win this weekend - today!

Last Week:  23-4
Total: 259-50 (83.8%)

MISSOURI

Blue Springs at Rock Bridge
It’s no surprise the Wildcats are back in the district final, and should be no surprise that they’ll win it again. The ground game will prove to be too tough, especially with chillier conditions on Friday night.
Winner: Blue Springs

Rockhurst at Lee’s Summit North
On paper, it’s a traditional power who’s been here, done that vs the new kid on the block. But the Broncos played the Hawklets in last year’s playoffs to a 7-0 loss at Dasta Stadium, and now get to host the team who knocked them out last year.
Christian Carter may return at quarterback after a couple weeks off due to injury. How effective will he be?
It’ll be speed vs the size of Rockhurst. But it’s just hard to go up against the size of Rockhurst for four quarters. A close one, but…Winner: Rockhurst

North Kansas City at Staley
The Clyde Price show continues, but in advancing in the playoffs, the defenses get a little tougher and quicker. None than the NKC district big brother in football in Staley. It would be a momentous, epic win for the Hornets to win at Staley in the playoffs, especially considering its been who-knows-how-long since Staley lost at home. Price will need to rip off 3-4 TD runs in the game. Staley should make it tougher to hit 2-3 long scoring runs.
Winner: Staley

Belton at Fort Osage
Talk about getting it together at the right time. That’s exactly what Belton has done in two playoff wins, the latest over Raytown. Two in a row, and two on the road is hard, especially as Fort O has gotten back to full strength.
Winner: Fort Osage

Smithville at Platte County
One of the new faces this far will break through. Will it be LS North, NKC, Belton or Smithville? This year, Smithville has Kearney’s number, Kearney has Platte County’s and the Pirates have the Warriors. This matchup is at PC. A very even matchup, as evidenced by the 28-27 comeback win by PC earlier this season. Going with the home magic that happens at PC.
Winner: Platte County

Harrisonville at Warrensburg
Harrisonville has woken up and realized they are Harrisonville. Hard to go against the Ville. Hard to go against Da Burg. Yeah, the Prediction Machine is going with traditional powers so far, may as well keep it going.
Winner: Harrisonville

Savannah at Maryville
See above. But this one is a no-brainer.
Winner: Spoofhounds

Pembroke Hill at Odessa
The Raiders have enjoyed quite a run. But Odessa is that much better, and can run and pass it, regardless of the weather.
Winner: Odessa

Kansas

Blue Valley North at Gardner-Edgerton
It’s tough to go against the undefeated, No. 1 seed at home in conditions favorable to its high-octane running attack. It’s also hard to go against one of the top 3 quarterbacks in the country and two Big 10 recruits on the defending state champs.
Winner: Blue Valley North

Olathe North at Shawnee Mission East
The Lancers have nice balance and beat the Eagles in a 35-28 thriller earlier. Going with the Lancers again.
Winner: SM East

Manhattan at Free State
As long as the Firebirds don’t look ahead to Derby, Free State should take care of business and move onto the semis.
Winner: Free State

Mill Valley at St. Thomas Aquinas
The only team that really caused fits to Aquinas all year was the Jaguars, who have played better since the 24-13 loss in September at Aquinas. But the Saints have too. Gotta go with the Saints.
Winner: St. Thomas Aquinas

Olathe West at De Soto
The 810 Varsity predictions did indeed predict the Owls to get this far in their first playoffs. It also predicted De Soto would win in this matchup, with its ground attack.
Winner: De Soto

Bishop Miege at Louisburg
The song remains the same. Mighty Miege goes into a small town on their best season in awhile, the whole town wears purple with Wildcat pride and … Miege rolls out a winner to do the same in Paola or Basehor next week. Yay! It's Kansas Class 4A football... or basketball... or soccer... or volleyball ... or..
Winner: Miege

Paola at Basehor-Linwood
Back to traditional 4A football. Paola has got it going since its loss to Louisburg three weeks ago. KVL teams used to struggle in the playoffs, and the Bobcats are just barely out of the KVL from a year ago. Paola’s defense wins out.
Winner: Paola
