810 Varsity has named its 810 Varsity 2018 Elite 81 award winners, revealed throughout the holiday break.

810 VARSITY MO BIG CLASS Linebacker

Skyler Meyers, Blue Springs South

Meyers enjoyed a stellar campaign, with over 90 tackles - 16 for loss - and was named the Suburban Gold Defensive Player of the Year and on the Missouri Class 6 all-state first team. Meyers committed and signed with Wisconsin.

Von Young IV, Fort Osage

Young helped lead the Indians to the Missouri Class 5 state title game, with over 100 tackles and six sacks. The 6-foot, 205-pound senior also stepped across the line and rushed for 257 yards and 6 touchdowns on just 36 carries. Young was named to the Missouri Class 5 all-state first team and the Class 5 Defensive Player of the Year, and committed to Missouri State.

810 VARSITY MO SMALL CLASS LINEBACKER

Brian Boyd, Smithville

Boyd helped lead the Warriors defense and Smithville to the Missouri Class 4 semifinal. Boyd racked up a ridiculous 187 tackles and was named to the Missouri Class 4 all-state first team. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound senior also rushed for 610 yards and 9 scores. Boyd is committed to Northwest Missouri State.

810 VARSITY KS BIG CLASS LINEBACKER

Jax Dineen, Free State

Dineen was a force on both sides of the ball for Free State, anchoring the defense at linebacker with 23 tackles for loss and 2 INTs. Dineen also rushed for over 1,300 yards with 19 touchdowns. The 5-foot-11, 230-pound Dineen committed and signed with Kansas State.

Tyler Stottle, SM East

Stottle was a one-man force to reckon with 97 tackles - 17 for loss and 7 sacks - and two defensive touchdowns. His 4 career INT returns for TD's ties a Kansas record as well. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound senior has received a PWO from Kansas.

810 VARSITY KS SMALL CLASS LINEBACKER

Dylan Downing, Bishop Miege

One of the biggest no-brainers of all the awards, Downing led the Miege defense en route to its fifth straight Kansas Class 4A state title. The 6-foot-1, 225-pound senior notched 131 tackles - 90 solo - along with five interceptions.
