Blue Springs South outlast Park Hill South, 83-79

If fans of the Jewell Classic wanted a thrilling title game, they got it in the Patterson Division championship.

Blue Springs South outlasted Park Hill South, 83-79, in double overtime to take the title on Saturday night.  Quite a turnaround for the Jaguars, who lost to PHS, 86-58, earlier in the month. 

Since then, Blue Springs South (7-3) haven't lost a game.

Five Jaguars netted double figures, led by Caleb Israelite's 21 points and 7 rebounds. Jaylon McDaniel notched a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds.

Lamel Robinson led Park Hill South with 33 points, including seven three-pointers.

The Jaguars led 32-27 at halftime and 56-43 entering the fourth quarter. But the Panthers (5-3) surged, outscoring BSS, 25-12, to force overtime. Senior guard Desi Williams added 17 points for the Panthers.Khayden Hooks added 16 points for Blue Springs South, while Johnny George (12) and Devin Tomlinson (11) also hit double figures.
