High school coaches and teams can register now for the 810 Varsity events in June.
Three June events will be held for high school boys basketball teams during the NCAA Division II recruiting period, meaning teams and players from the region can play in from of DII, NAIA and junior college coaches.
The list of tentatively committed schools already is impressive - the Libertys, Lee's Summits, Blue Valley Northwest, Basehor-Linwood, plus schools from around the region for an event each, such as Wichita East and Wichita Heights and St. Louis schools such as Chaminade and CBC.
"810 Varsity has done a great job over the years with the high school season events of matchups and bringing in teams from the area," said Lee's Summit West head coach Michael Schieber. "And with helping run the summer AAU events, has a great grip on getting college coaches and what they are looking for. This is great for Kansas City."
While the NCAA rules have changed the recruiting calendar to allow Division I coaches to attend events, the events look to be select top players in the region. Meanwhile, the 99.9% of players still need an opportunity to be seen.
The events offer an affordable entry ($300-$350) per team, and teams can stay local in Kansas City rather than traveling to team camps at area colleges.
And the event offers a great recruiting event for the likes of Washburn, Northwest Missouri State, Pittsburg State and Missouri Southern, in addition to NAIA schools. Many have already confirmed interest in making the events a stop on the recruiting trail in June.
"The D-I stars get all the attention, but most kids will play at the DII, NAIA or Juco level," said 810 Varsity's Chad Rader. "With the NCAA tightening the events, these June events will help those kids get looks."
If want - especially since most will be via a school check or PO - you can sign up via TourneyMachine.com (links above or below) and select Cash/Check at the end of the online process to be registered. You won't have to pay now via this option.
If a PO / invoice is needed, contact me and I'll send it over to submit.
While the deadline is 7-10 days before each event, I'd rather if you're going to participate to notify me and get registered, with payment later, than wait until the final minute and I get a wave of teams that I wasn't prepared for with gyms, officials, personnel, etc.
$350/team (multi-event and multi-team discounts)

Pool play tie-breakers
810 Varsity will look to keep pairings and pools mixed to avoid repeated matchups or teams seen during the school year.
Schedule will try to play all pool games on Friday. Will try to keep all pools playing successively, so teams will have a 10a, 12p and 3p game, and not spread throughout entire day (ex: 10a, 2p, 7 p).
Submit any schedule requests in advance, and 810 Varsity will try to accommodate.
High school teams only. No AAU / club teams.
T-shirts awarded to each division champions.
