Stellar lineup includes CBC, Staley and all ranked teams

The Show-case must go on!

With the snowfall ceasing and roads clearing, 810 Varsity Showcase 26 will be on, starting at 3:30 pm

810 Varsity Showcase 26 will feature four games, with all ranked teams in the 810 Varsity Top 25 - or state.

The highlight is the last game this Saturday at Staley High School, as Staley - No. 2 in the 810 Varsity Top 25 - takes on perennial state power CBC. The Falcons and Cadets both are ranked in the Class 6, and this clash could be seen again in the state title game.

"Talent wise, this is the top team in Kansas City vs the top in St. Louis, without a doubt," stated Chad Rader of 810 Varsity. "Both these teams may be seeing each other again in the Class 6 final."

CBC features guard Larry Hughes Jr, son of St. Louis legend and long-time NBA guard Larry Hughes. John Bol, a 7-foot-2 sophomore (pictured below), already holds offers from Mizzou, Illinois, K-State and others and is rated the top 2024 in Missouri. Senior guard Rob Martin also holds multiple Division I offers.

Staley features the junior tandem of guard Kyan Evans, who dropped 29 points on Saturday in 810 Varsity Showcase 25, and power forward Kayden Fish. The Falcons also boast talent such as 6-foot-8 Emmanuel Byrd (Washburn commit), 6-foot-8 junior Cameron Manyawu and others.

This will mark the fifth appearance in 810 Varsity events for CBC, with head coach Justin Tatum at the helm.  The Cadets appeared in the first 810 Varsity event at Municipal Auditorium in 2015, as well as 2016, 2018 and 2020.

In addition to Staley vs CBC, the day will start with No. 20 Park Hill South vs No. 18 St. James Academy at 3:30 pm.

At 5 pm, No. 6 Blue Valley Northwest will take on No. 21 Park Hill. A return to girls action pits No. 12 Staley vs No. 16 St. James Academy at 6:30 pm.

In addition, the games will be shown on Spectrum Sports.

"It will be a very exciting day and the place to be with Spectrum TV, media abound and the Chiefs don't even play until Sunday," Rader added.
