Julia Misemer and Mikey Pauley earned the Children's Mercy Sports Medicine Center's Performances of the Year.

For four straight years, the Kansas Class 6A golf title came home to the Blue Valley area, thanks to Julia Misemer.

For the first time in school history, the state football title came back to Blue Valley Northwest in large part to Mikey Pauley.

Now the Children's Mercy Sports Medicine Center's Performance of the Year award will come back to the Blue Valley area for both honorees.

Misemer,  who won the state title in all four years at Blue Valley West, has been named the Female Performance of the Year award winner. Misemer concluded her career in which she won 31 of the 32 tourney she teed up. Misemer - the most decorated golfer - boy or girl - in Kansas history - will be playing at the University of Arizona next fall.

Congratulations to Julia Misemer from Blue Valley West High School for winning the 2021-22 Children's Mercy Sports Medicine Center Female Performance of the Year award.

Mikey helped lead Blue Valley Northwest to its first-ever state football title, as the Huskies toppled defending champion Derby, 41-21, in the Kansas Class 6A title game. Pauley was named the Simone Award recipient for the Kansas City Metro area Player of the Year, as well as the 810 Varsity Player of the Year.

Pauley also helped the Huskies to the Class 6A state basketball title game, and of course, starred in baseball. Pauley will be going to Nebraska for football and baseball, and was named the Male Peformance of the Year.

Congratulations to Mikey Pauley from Blue Valley Northwest High School for winning the 2021-22 Children's Mercy Sports Medicine Center Male Performance of the Year award.

The two will be recognized at halftime of the Sporting KC vs LAFC game on Saturday, July 23 at Children's Mercy Park.

The 2021-22 school year marks the second season in which 810 Varsity has partnered with Children's Mercy Sports Medicine Center.  Kendra Wait of Gardner-Edgerton, and Daniel Worth of Lee's Summit North earned the honors in 2021.
